It took Linlithgow a while to get use to the bouncy Peffermill Pitch. The game went from one end to the other end both teams creating several chances but still the score remained goaless.
There were several good passes between a very solid midfield in particular Jill and Lindsay Rankine providing our forwards with some good passes. Fiona Cruickshank completed a solo run and fired in a good shot only for it to go just wide of the far goal post.
Edinburgh Uni continued with their attack but were kept out by a solid Linlithgow Defence and good saves by Joanne Beedie in goals. Edinburgh Uni had a shot that was lifted into the top corner of the goal only for Morag Johnston to hit out but it resulted in a penality flick for the home side. Uni girl flicked the ball but Joanne made a terrfic save.
Both teams continued with strong attacks at both ends, eventually a chance fell to Uni and they fired in a strong shot which beat the goalie.
In the last 10 minutes Linlithgow continued to press the uni defence but to no avail.
A good performance by a strong solid Linlithgow team.
